Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Substitute and or ACE worker at Moody Independent School District. This role involves stepping in for regular classroom teachers and providing a supportive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive educational experience while maintaining continuity in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Execute lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure effective instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Engage students in learning activities and provide assistance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including attendance and reporting any incidents.
• Adapt to various classroom settings and grade levels as required.
• Collaborate with other staff members to support student learning and development.
• Participate in professional development opportunities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and manage diverse student needs.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Ability to pass a background check as required by district policy.
