JOB SUMMARY:
The Attractions Culinary Summer Intern will participate in a structured rotational program designed to provide comprehensive exposure to culinary operations and outlet management within a high-volume hospitality and attractions environment.
This internship is a leadership development opportunity, allowing the intern to gain hands-on experience in kitchen production, outlet execution, guest service delivery, and operational leadership strategy.
Interns will rotate between Attractions Kitchen and F&B Outlets, developing a full understanding of how back-of-house and front-of-house teams collaborate to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Attractions Kitchen Rotation
- Assist culinary leadership with daily kitchen operations and production flow
- Observe and support food preparation, plating, and quality control standards
- Learn inventory management, ordering processes, and waste control practices
- Support food safety and sanitation compliance (health standards, HACCP principles)
- Participate in kitchen line setup, breakdown, and operational readiness
- Gain exposure to labor management and kitchen scheduling strategies
F&B Outlets Rotation
- Support outlet managers in daily front-of-house operations
- Assist with guest service execution and service recovery strategies
- Observe team leadership, staffing decisions, and shift management
- Monitor guest flow and operational efficiency during peak service times
- Assist with POS systems, reporting, and transaction oversight
- Participate in team communication, pre-shift meetings, and service briefings
- Participate in daily operational briefings and leadership discussions
- Assist with tracking key performance indicators (guest satisfaction, service times, sales trends)
- Observe and support conflict resolution and team communication strategies
- Complete weekly reflection assignments focused on leadership and operations
- Assist with special projects aimed at improving efficiency and guest experience
- Prepare a final presentation summarizing operational insights and recommendations
