Deposit Operations Representative – JOB # 35 -26

The Deposit Operations Representative plays a crucial role in the proper functioning of the bank, performing essential day-to-day tasks and duties to maintain efficient bank operations. The representative is responsible for the completion of back-office responsibilities that include balancing internal accounts, check processing, ATM and remote deposit processing, account research, handling legal requests, monthly reporting and more. The representative will also provide support to all bank departments and customers via phone and e-mail, while following the bank’s policies and procedures to remain in compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process daily exception item processing, including non-post items, chargebacks, and NSF resolution.
• Reconcile daily internal GL and DDA accounts and research and correct outages as needed.
• Daily balancing of all branch locations teller drawers and monthly reporting.
• Review and process daily off-site deposits such as ATM and mobile deposits.
• Sending of draft dealership collection letters, maintaining current draft collections, daily draft reporting and end of month collection reporting.
• Debit Card processing that includes printing cards, processing monthly reporting, and auditing of current inventory.
• Process new and current charge off accounts by maintaining current balance, daily account reporting, account collections, documenting all account changes and end of month reporting.
• Handle incoming requests for foreign (non-US) checks and processing them to complete customer requests.
• Process legal requests and handle legal documentation such as garnishments, levies, holds and more in a timely and efficient manner.
• Processing maintenance change requests on customer accounts and reviewing previous-day changes.
• Provide assistance to all banking centers and customers with research requests and making account adjustments as needed.
• Monthly IOLTA reporting.
• Scanning and archiving daily work and documentation as required.

Other Duties as Responsibilities:

Cross train and perform other duties and special assignments as requested by the Operations Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1- 3 years banking experience and/or related clerical background.

Skills and Abilities:

• Basic bank accounting.
• Knowledgeable in computer skills to include excel and word processing.
• Accuracy in attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent the bank in a courteous and professional manner.
