What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) position at Mood Institute?
Mood Institute is a specialized interventional psychiatry practice focused on the treatment of complex and treatment-resistant mood disorders. We are seeking a PMHNP-BC with strong clinical experience to join our team. This is an opportunity to practice at a high level within a structured, protocol-driven model and develop expertise in interventional psychiatry, including esketamine (Spravato), IV ketamine, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and clinical research.
About the Role: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits, manage psychopharmacologic treatment for complex mood and anxiety disorders, work within a structured interventional psychiatry model, and participate in advanced treatments and clinical research initiatives.
Qualifications (Required): PMHNP-BC required, minimum 3 years of psychiatric NP experience, eligible for independent practice in Connecticut, strong foundation in psychopharmacology, and experience managing treatment-resistant depression.
Preferred: Experience in TRD populations, exposure to esketamine, ketamine, or TMS, and interest in clinical trials or research.
