What are the responsibilities and job description for the Showroom Sample Coordinator position at MOOD DESIGNER FABRICS?
We are currently looking for a Showroom Sample Coordinator in our Lodi New Jersey e-commerce fulfillment center. In this role you will be tracking over 10,000 fabric, trim, and button samples for the Mood Fabrics Showroom stores. The Coordinator verifies all sample movements within and outside of the organization while maintaining inventory accuracy in a timely and organized manner. You contribute to the profitability of our organization by ensuring samples are properly labeled, stored correctly, and accurately scanned for shipment. Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) with previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, or merchandising role. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices is a plus
- Tech Knowledge: Highly comfortable with computers, including Gmail, Excel, and Word. You also have experience using inventory software and databases.
- Problem Solving: You have a sharp eye for detail, strong investigational skills, and the ability to multitask accurately.
- Communication: Great written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English) to collaborate effectively with the team.
- Ready to Learn: Willingness to learn our specific product flows, SKU numbering, and inventory control system (Counterpoint). If you already know Counterpoint, we definitely want to talk to you!
Physical Requirements of the Role:
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to work on your feet and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable safely navigating stairs and ladders multiple times throughout the day.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Maintain a highly organized physical inventory and assist with packing and preparing samples for shipment to our showrooms.
System Operations: Perform precise data entry and actively utilize our Inventory Control System for daily tasks.
Discrepancy Resolution: Ensure overall inventory integrity by investigating material movement history (receiving, put-away, replenishment, and consumption) to resolve any stock variances.
Issue Escalation: Promptly report and escalate complex inventory matters or significant shortages to the management team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sample Production team, Buyers, and fellow warehouse employees to ensure seamless daily operations.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
