Finance Manager
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 annually (DOE)
Schedule: 4/10 Work Week (Monday – Thursday)

Position Summary
The Finance Manager plays a key leadership role in the financial management and stability of the organization. Working closely with the Executive Director, this position oversees accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and compliance with federal and state funding regulations. The successful candidate will be both detail-oriented and strategic—someone who can ensure fiscal accuracy while guiding big-picture planning and sustainability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting functions using MIP Cloud-Based Accounting Software
- Oversee daily transactions, reconciliations, payroll, and grant reporting
- Oversee grant management- track restricted funds, prepare grant budgets, and ensure compliance with requirements
- Prepare and present financial reports for the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and Committees
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and department heads on annual budget development
- Monitor financial performance, income, expenses, and grant tracking throughout the year
- Lead annual audits and ensure compliance with federal funding regulations
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Prepare tax filings and maintain compliance with all reporting requirements
- Work closely with vendors, foundations, donors, and government partners
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights that inform leadership decisions
- Other duties as assigned by Executive Director
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel (required) and accounting software (MIP cloud-based software knowledge preferred)
- Strong understanding of auditing procedures and federal funding compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop budgets, monitor spending, and present financial data effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
