Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Girls Volleyball Coach to lead and develop our high school volleyball team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for sports coaching, and experience working with students. This role involves planning practices, developing game strategies, fostering team spirit, and promoting student-athlete growth both on and off the court.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs to improve players' skills and teamwork.
- Plan and conduct practices, ensuring a positive and productive environment.
- Lead the team during competitions, providing strategic guidance and motivation.
- Foster sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among student-athletes.
- Monitor player progress and provide feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and athletic directors to promote the volleyball program.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all practices and games.
- Promote a positive team culture that encourages respect, dedication, and personal growth.
Requirements
- CT Coaching License
- Prior experience in sports coaching, particularly volleyball or related sports such as basketball or cheerleading.
- Background in teaching physical education or working with students in a school setting preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain discipline and focus during practices and games.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in sports or childcare environments.
- Skills in teaching physical activities such as swimming, karate, martial arts, climbing, judo, or gym activities are advantageous.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, motivation, and effective communication skills.
