Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support our dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality dental care. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, patient-focused, and eager to contribute to a positive practice culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
- Dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments
- Document patient care, treatment plans, and medical histories accurately
- Provide chairside assistance and anticipate dentist needs during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment instructions
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- X-ray certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for patient care
- Great leadership skills with ability to mentor and guide team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of dental assisting experience
- Knowledge of dental software systems
- Expanded functions certification (EFDA) is a plus

Schedule
Monday through Friday with occasional flexibility needed for patient scheduling needs.
