Job Overview:
This role provides advanced knowledge based service to customers. Wine Coordinators use relationship building techniques, product knowledge, and selling techniques in order to improve customer satisfaction as measured by customer feedback and increased store sales. They drive sales by building relationships and creating interest and enthusiasm with customers and team members. Duties:
- Lead with our values, always help others and ensure the Company remains a great place to work for all
- Educate and develop employees, engage in meaningful conversations, build trusted relationships and provide the resources, feedback, and development opportunities they need to be successful
- Develop a wine culture throughout the store; educating others on wine industry, production, regions, varietals, and tasting methods; coordinate team member and customer education on wines
- Coordinate events and featured product displays around current Merchandising priorities
- Set and achieve sales goals for targeted products; execute priorities; monitor and influence positive results in wine sales, contribution and customer engagement
- Execute Merchandising priorities, while also being empowered to make decisions that delight the customer and build sales and loyalty
- Partner with the Manager and Company Consultants in response to Top Customer requests to source rare wine selections and to oversee the fine wine room; highlight wine in well-merchandised collections to peak customer’s interests and grow sales
- Stay up-to-date on wine industry, regions, varietals and taste profiles; continuously learn about new products and services and share that knowledge with others
- Ensure products are available for customers by ordering and replenishing product; continuously look for and share ways to improve operations
- Perform other tasks essential to the proper functioning of the operation as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and related specialty beverages
- Ability to communicate complex information in simple terms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Certification
- Customer service experience, preferably in a food retail, grocery, restaurant, retail or Liquor shop setting
- Experience with merchandising
- Experience with wine and meal pairings
- Experience with customer relations
- Sommelier

Pay: $22.75 - $26.50 per hour
