In conjunction with the Laboratory Technical Director and Medical Director, ensures technical and regulatory oversight of the Blood Bank section in the Laboratory to include: continual compliance to federal, state and/or local regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies, acts as a technical resource for staff, maintains essential equipment function checks, review and development of policies and procedures, participation in hospital blood utilization, preparation and oversight of department quality assurance/improvement and quality control program.

Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university. Required national certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or equivalent or equally qualified through examination by the Health Education and Welfare accreditation program.
- Training/Experience: 2 years of training/experience in a Laboratory performing blood bank testing and transfusion services.
