Key Baker Job Responsibilities
- Production: Mixing and preparing doughs, batters, and fillings for a wide range of pastries, cakes, and breads.
- Quality Control: Monitoring baking times, oven temperatures, and testing ingredients to ensure products meet high standards.
- Decoration: Applying icings, glazes, and decorations to pastries and cakes for retail display.
- Safety & Maintenance: Cleaning and sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment (ovens, mixers) in compliance with safety standards.
- Inventory: Managing ingredient inventory and restocking workstations.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen is strongly preferred.
- A passion for baking and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle early morning, weekend, or holiday shifts.
- Strong team-playing ability and proactive, "can-do" attitude.
