Summary

Essential Duties
- Perform first piece approval, per set up approval-process.
- Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material on machines
- Performs regular cleaning and maintenance on area and related equipment
- Understands and complies with all safety requirements as related to designated machine(s) and/or area
- Communicates quality concerns of either product or related equipment to Supervisor
- Maintains the cleanliness and order of designated area(s) as to 5S standards
- Maintains the cleanliness and order of measuring devices used and communicates to quality any concerns
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
Work Schedule
- 8-hour shift, 2:30pm - 11:00pm
- Monday through Friday
- Additional as needed
- Full-time, hourly
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Fork truck training preferred
- This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
