What are the responsibilities and job description for the Theatre Manager position at Monticello Public Schools?
- Under the direction of the Director of Community Education, the full-time (9-month position) Auditorium/Theatre Manager provides leadership and coordination to all aspects of the District’s four Auditorium/Theater operations at Monticello Public School. This person is also a liaison with community groups involved in theater productions. This position supervises staff and some volunteers in program development and presentation. - BA/BS in Theater Production, Arts, Drama or a related field
- Two years of experience in Theater Arts preferred
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
- MN Teaching license in theater arts, music, drama, or language arts preferred
- Experience in directing/productions
- Knowledge of technical theater production, including but not limited to lighting, sound, rigging system, and set building.
- Model and create an environment that ensures the highest standards and artistic excellence in all elements of auditorium productions
- Effective communication and teaming skills, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, teachers, administrators, community and staff
- Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and strategic plan of the district
- Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
- Experience working with diverse students and families - experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
