Job Description

The special education teacher will collaborate with other service providers during the day to meet student needs.
License & Experience
- Licensed Special Education Teacher in the State of Minnesota
- Knowledge and experience working with preschool students with special education needs.
- Knowledge and experience completing due process paperwork and follow timeline requirements of special education
- Knowledge and experience working with preschool and/or kindergarten students
- Must be able to assure and implement state and federal laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to special education
- Team oriented approach when working with students, colleagues, families, and administrators
- Effective communication and teaming skills, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, teachers, administrators, community and staff
- Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district
- Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
- Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
- Experience working with diverse students and families - experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
