Education Level: Bachelor’s degree and endorsements in the areas of teaching assignment. Certification, alternative certification or licensure: current, valid Arkansas teaching license.
Physical Requirement: Hand-eye, mind-eye coordination. Constant hearing; intermittent speaking, standing, walking and writing. Frequent carrying, keyboarding, and other repetitive motions.
Other Essential Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Skills in human relations, leadership and conflict management. Knowledgeable of teaching techniques that meet the diverse needs of students. Demonstrated skills in the use of technology to enhance student learning.

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Middle School Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore music through various performance and non-performance activities, including instrumental and vocal instruction, music theory, and music history. The teacher will help foster a love of music, cultivate students' talents, and promote teamwork and discipline through ensemble-based learning.
MUSIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach general music classes and/or specialized classes such as choir, band, orchestra, or music
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and national music
- Teach students to read music, understand music theory, and perform on various instruments (if applicable).
- Lead student ensembles (band, choir, orchestra) and prepare them for performances and
- Organize and oversee school music events, concerts, and
- Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to integrate music education into other academic subjects.
- Participate in school events and activities outside of regular school hours, including concerts, school-wide performances, and parent-teacher meetings.
Stay current with developments in music education and incorporate new techniques and technologies into the curriculum.

- Establish appropriate classroom rules and procedures that are clearly understood by all students
- Effectively and consistently enforce rules and follow procedures
