Overview:
Monticello Auto Service is looking for a Parts Manager. Monday-Friday 7:45am-5:15pm. No nights, no weekends! Pay is 53k-72k annual compensation, depending on experience and profitability.
Monticello Auto Service is looking for an organized, detail oriented, dependable Parts Manager who can keep our technicians supplied and our jobs moving. If you know automotive parts, pay attention to details, and follow through without constant reminders, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Source and order the correct parts, balancing warranty, availability, quality, cost and repair profitability, in that order!
- Track deliveries and follow up on overdue parts.
- Check in incoming parts, verify accuracy, and distribute them to the appropriate jobs.
- Process returns, cores, warranty claims, and vendor credits.
- Maintain inventory, complete rotating inventory counts, and keep storage areas organized.
- Review invoices and pricing for accuracy.
- Communicate parts availability and delays to technicians and service advisors.
- Maintain accurate records in our shop management system and assist with daily paperwork.
What We’re Looking For
- Automotive parts knowledge; parts counter, purchasing, or repair shop experience preferred.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Confidence using computers, email, and inventory or shop management software.
- Clear communication and reliable follow-through.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy shop.
- Sound judgment: the cheapest part isn’t always the best choice.
Compensation
Your annual compensation will be 53k-71k depending on skills, experience and parts profitability. More details will be explained during the in person interview!
