Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Customer Service Representative role based in Shawnee, KS. The Customer Service Representative will be the first point of contact for clients, greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing check-in and check-out procedures. Daily responsibilities include handling client inquiries, explaining basic services and policies, processing payments, and maintaining accurate client and patient records. The role also involves coordinating with veterinary and technical staff to support a smooth workflow, managing incoming messages and emails, and helping ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. The position requires consistent professionalism, empathy, and clear communication with clients and team members.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including experience as a Customer Service Representative or in a similar client-focused role.
- Proficiency in Customer Support and Customer Service, with the ability to handle phone calls, in-person inquiries, and digital communications efficiently.
- Ability to foster positive Customer Experience and maintain high Customer Satisfaction through empathy, patience, and clear communication.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced veterinary or medical setting; prior animal hospital or healthcare experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in scheduling and recordkeeping.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management or scheduling software (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to work on-site full time, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
