Digital Art Instructor – Summer Camp (Daytime Hours)
Are you an artist with a passion for teaching others? Apply today to become an Art Instructor at Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center! We are a non-profit art museum and art school just outside of Nashville in the heart of Hendersonville, TN.
We are seeking experienced, responsible, and energetic instructors with engaging personalities to teach in our Digital Art program. This position includes teaching summer camps, and applicants must be available during daytime hours.
The right candidate will have the ability to motivate students' critical-thinking abilities and help develop problem-solving skills in a creative environment.
Qualifications:
- Current elementary, middle, or high school teachers are a plus
- Dynamic, dedicated, and energetic instructors who inspire students
- At least one year of teaching experience in the subject field
- Experience with Procreate required
- Ability to demonstrate subject techniques and relevant knowledge
- Ability to utilize various teaching methods to meet different students' needs
- Strong follow-through and communication skills
- Passion for education and working with students
- Ability to maintain consistent and professional communication and record-keeping
- Must be able to pass a background check
We work hard to provide an enjoyable work environment for both our staff and museum visitors. With our arts enrichment program serving over 600 students and continuing to grow, we are expanding our Art Instructor team.
This position includes teaching children and adults in a variety of art classes and may occasionally include leading art projects at community outreach events.
Teaching experience is required.
