DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform basic first aid on students
- Administer scheduled and PRN inhalers and oral medications
- Recognize the signs of severe allergic reactions and be able to administer emergency anaphylactic treatment, if
- Establish a positive relationship with parents, students, coworkers, volunteers, and other visitors. Contact parents as
- Learn and maintain knowledge of health documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of health information pertaining to individual students/staff
- Aid students with daily living needs as indicated
- Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator.
- High School Diploma. Post-secondary education in health care field, preferred
- CPR Certification
- Completion of Unlicensed Medication Assistant Training
- Knowledge of Standard Precautions, Seizure Precautions, and Managing Diabetes in the school setting Tier I
- Ability to work with the nurse and administrator as a team
