Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) Assistant Job Goal: The FFVP is a USDA-funded program that provides free fresh fruits and vegetables to children in participating elementary schools. The program's goals include: Increasing children's fruit and vegetable consumption Expanding the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience Influencing children's life-long eating habits Creating healthier school environments Qualifications: Background check: A clean background check Organization: The ability to prioritize and multitask Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with students and staff. Appearance: A professional appearance Strength: The ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs Dexterity: Manual dexterity to handle boxes and supplies. Washing, sorting, counting and distributing fruits and vegetables to students Clean and prep fruits and vegetables for distribution Salary & Schedule: 9 hours per week (Monday-Wednesday) $15.00 per hour 10:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M.
