21st CCLC Extended Day Teachers 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) Extended Day Teacher Reports to: 21st CCLC Site Coordinator Funding: 100% Title IV, Part B Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. • Current valid Alabama Teacher’s Certificate. • Demonstrated successful teaching experience in a K-12 environment. • Demonstrated positive communication skills, both verbal and written. • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. • Passion for Out-of-School Time (OST) programming and students. • 21st CCLC grant knowledge preferred. • Demonstrated technology skills preferred. Essential Duties: • Create a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth. • Establish effective rapport with students. • Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational foundation. • Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other stakeholders. • Conduct project-based learning activities based on direction from the 21st CCLC Site Coordinator. • Support the use of technology to motivate and prepare students for the 21st century. • Provide a safe, orderly environment that facilitates learning. • Perform related duties as required by the 21st CCLC Extended Day Coordinator.
