As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Staff Accountant is to play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role's contributions are essential in ensuring guest satisfaction with inquiries, achieving the operating budget and forecast goals, and maintaining accurate financial records. By applying accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, this role will help maintain the integrity of the financial records and help drive the success of the accounting department.
The primary responsibility of a Staff Accountant is to maintain accurate financial records by calculating, posting, and verifying financial data, as well as preparing and maintaining financial reports. This role will verify daily deposits, generate reports detailing any discrepancies or variances in deposits, and will be responsible for opening and reconciling deposits, preparing consolidated deposits for banking purposes, and accurately posting these transactions to the general ledger.
This is a non-exempt, staff-level position, but has an opportunity for continued growth and advancement based on performance. The anticipated pay range will be in the $19 /hour range, depending on experience.
