Montgomery Disability Advocates is a private office that represents people in their claims for Social Security disability benefits.
The Disability Attorney counsels and represents people who are applying for Social Security disability benefits. The attorney is responsible for the management of all aspects of the case from intake through close of the case. The primary functions are interviewing clients, preparing and updating the case file, gathering medical evidence, analyzing case records, writing legal documents, presenting written and oral arguments, and litigating before the administrative law judge. The area of practice is federal administrative law as it pertains to medical disabilities.
The Disability Attorney must be proficient in due process concepts and have a Juris Doctor. The office will train on the specifics of the law and forum procedures. The degree of responsibility will be commensurate to the degree of experience and ability to learn. Professionals at the beginning of their legal career, current law students and paralegals will be considered.
