Janitorial Foreman

SUMMARY

The foreman will supervise the evening custodial staff making sure that all shifts and schedules are covered and facilities are maintaining cleanliness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The foreman will assist the supervisor in creating schedules according to staffing available. Foreman will fill out the required paperwork and report discrepancies to the supervisors of that building.

• All employee disciplinary issues are to be reported to the supervisor.

• The foreman will be a working supervisor and will work to foster a team-player environment.

• The custodial foreman may be assigned to several locations as part of a rotation routine. (Courthouse, One Montgomery Plaza, Juvenile Probation, Voters Warehouse, etc.).

• The foreman will assist in touring the facility making sure all lights are turned off and areas have been cleaned efficiently at the end of shift.

• Janitorial Foreman will receive any designated assignment from supervisors. Each chore will receive appropriate attention.

• The foreman is required to be familiar and follow guidelines for the utilization of safety equipment, chemical handling and spills.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals.

• Supervisory skills.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment.

• Conduct in-service training programs when needed.
