The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU)'s Extended School Year (ESY) program provides School Age students with fun and enriching opportunities to continue to maintain their academic, emotional, behavioral, and social skills that they worked on throughout their school year. ESY is a rewarding program that allows staff to continue to work while still having time to enjoy their summer! This is a great opportunity for college students and those currently working in education who are looking for summer employment!
Vacancies exist for Vision Support Teachers to work within the Office of Student Services for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit during ESY.
Qualifications
Itinerant throughout Montgomery County, PA
Estimated Work Days And Hours
Monday-Thursday, 06/29/2026 - 07/30/2026
Approximately 8:30AM - 2:30PM
Safety Care Training (if needed): TBD
Orientation and Set-up: Date and Time TBD
(dates subject to change based on program need)
Hourly Rate (based On 2025 - 2026 Step)
Step 1-5: $50.00/hour
Step 6-10: $55.00/hour
Step 11-15: $60.00/hour
Earn up to a $600 Bonus for working our ESY program this summer!
$300 to be paid in first half, $300 to be paid in second half; prorated for those working less than full-time.

- Valid PA Certification in Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) required.
- Experience with special education preferred.
- Provide vision services to students during the course of the ESY program.
