ESY is a rewarding program that allows staff to continue to work while still having time to enjoy their summer! This is a great opportunity for college students and those currently working in education who are looking for summer employment!
Multiple vacancies exist for Special Education Paraprofessionals to work within the Office of Student Services for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit during ESY in the following programs: Autistic Support, Emotional Support, Hearing Support, and Transition.

Approximately 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (could vary)
Hourly Rate (based On 2025 - 2026 Step)
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) provides services that meet the educational and social service needs of Montgomery County's 200-plus schools, including public school districts, non-public schools, career-technical schools, charter schools, and the PA Department of Education. Available Positions
- Teacher Assistant
- Personal Care Assistant
- Job Coach/Personal Care Assistant
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree or higher OR completion of two (2) years of post-secondary education OR 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Background in special education preferred
- Support direct instruction to students during the course of the ESY program.
Monday-Thursday, 06/29/2026 - 07/30/2026
Approximately 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (could vary)
Hourly Rate (based On 2025 - 2026 Step)
- Starting at $20.96/hour
- Earn up to a $600 Bonus for working our ESY program this summer!
- $300 to be paid in first half, $300 to be paid in second half; prorated for those working less than full-time.
