What You'll Be Doing
This is a key role with the compliance unit that will supervise staff auditors and support DHHS staff with training in compliance and audit-related matters. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting; or a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration or a related field with a major of accounting coursework.
Experience: Considerable (i.e., five (5) years) professional experience in financial accounting, auditing or business administration field at the full performance level or 2 (two) years of experience performing work as a senior-level accountant and/or auditor.
Substitution: Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) may be substituted for a degree in Accounting or a major in Accounting.
The selected candidate will be required to complete and submit a Financial Disclosure Statement.

- Conduct reviews of vendors, contracts, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable policies and guidelines.
- Serve as liaison between internal and external stakeholders while cultivating an environment of collaboration, training, and innovation.
- Facilitate kick-off and recurring status meetings, producing accurate progress and issue resolution reports.
- Trains internal and external stakeholders on policies and procedures.
- Oversee task execution, resource allocation, and performance reporting for all tasks.
- Support strategic direction for audits and Sub-vendor 440 reconciliations while making essential decisions.
- Conduct risk assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of vendors and programs.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
