MCES also offers mental health crisis intervention education to law enforcement, emergency responders, and behavioral health providers. Services include a 988/crisis/suicide hotline, crisis center, emergency psychiatric assessments, assistance with involuntary psychiatric evaluations in Montgomery County, and acute inpatient psychiatric care. Role Description The Human Resources Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Norristown, PA. This role is responsible for supporting HR operations, including administering employee benefits, creating /maintaining personnel records, and assisting with onboarding and orientation processes. The Human Resources Specialist will help implement and communicate HR policies, support managers with personnel management issues, and assist with recruitment activities such as posting positions, screening applications, and coordinating interviews. Day-to-day tasks include handling employee inquiries, ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational policies, preparing HR reports and documentation, and collaborating with leadership to promote a respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment aligned with MCES’s mission.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (37.5hrs/wk)
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, including experience supporting HR operations in a healthcare or human services environment.
- Skills in assisting with Employee Benefits administration, including enrollment support, benefits communication, and coordination with external vendors.
- Skills in Personnel Management, including maintaining accurate employee records and supporting performance and employee relations processes.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with HRIS and standard office software, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Experience in behavioral health, emergency services, or non-profit settings is a plus; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
