Learn to Earn Dayton, in partnership with Montgomery County ESC has an exciting position available for a Director, Statewide Strategy.
Position Summary
The Director, Statewide Strategy will build upon Learn to Earn Dayton’s ongoing focus on Montgomery County to scale our systemic change approach, through and in collaboration with a network of regional cradle-to-career intermediary organizations, to improve academic outcomes and increase economic mobility for all students in Ohio. The Director will provide leadership for Learn to Earn Dayton’s emerging role as a statewide intermediary, providing capacity building and technical assistance to partner organizations in order to establish shared community visions, align cross-sector partners, leverage data for decision making and build consensus that drives collaborative action within each region of Ohio.

- Position Reports to: CEO
- Position Salary: $97,000.00 - $120,000.00 salary range commensurate with experience, education and qualifications
- Position Terms: Full-Time In Person / On Site
- Office Location: MCESC Regional Center, 4801 Springfield Street - Dayton, Ohio 45431
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years, with a preference for 10 years, prior experience in an executive role in a similar or larger size collective-impact focused education, public sector, non-profit, or philanthropic organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree, with advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with critical organizational functions including strategic planning, fiscal management, program management, human resources and public relations.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, managing, developing, retaining and coaching high performance, mission-driven and change-oriented teams.
- Relevant, broad network of cradle-to-career, place-based and cross-sector partners and strong relationships with leaders across Ohio.
Skills Required
- Highly organized, multi-disciplinary, action-oriented and solutions-minded project manager able to lead operationalization of strategic vision and quickly pivot as organizational needs or resources evolve.
- Understanding of advocacy and policy formation.
- Highly skilled at developing influential relationships, and positively promoting the organization’s brand while also applying political agility and savvy.
- Comfortable engaging and working collaboratively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Experience convening stakeholders to establish a shared vision, and leverage data to design systems level solutions to complex educational, social and economic issues.
- Ability to execute tasks independently with limited guidance or need for technical assistance.
- Creates and maintains a positive work environment, contributing to the healthy culture of the organization in all actions and interactions.
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and is a persuasive public speaker able to effectively represent the organization.
