The Montgomery County Educational Service Center (ESC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to manage the Regional Center & lead, develop, and oversee the delivery of specialized educational and therapeutic services to schools and students within the region. This position will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering strong partnerships with districts, community agencies, and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of related services, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, psychology, and other specialized student support services.

• Supervise and support a team of licensed professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

• Oversee the operation and administration of the Regional Center, including budget management, staff development, and program planning.

• Collaborate with school districts, community organizations, and governmental agencies to support student needs and enhance service offerings.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with state and federal regulations, ensuring compliance with IDEA, ADA, and other relevant laws.

• Monitor service effectiveness, using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

• Facilitate professional development and training opportunities for staff and educational partners.

• Serve as a key liaison between the ESC, school districts, and related service providers to address service gaps and emerging needs.

What You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, Therapy Services, or a related field.

• Valid Ohio administrative or supervisory license preferred.

• Minimum of five years of experience in related services, special education, or a leadership role in an educational setting.

• Experience managing budgets, staff, and service programs.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Experience working in an Educational Service Center or similar organization would be a plus.

• Background in school-based therapy services or special education administration.

• Proven track record of successful team leadership and program development.

• Satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided for free by MCESC!).
