What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Monitors (2) (Federal Programs) - Internal Hire position at Montgomery Co?
Reports to: Federal Programs Director (or Designee)
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited College or University.
Current valid Alabama Teacher’s Certificate (salary is on a 12-month teacher salary schedule).
A minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience in a Title I, Turnaround, or Comprehensive Improvement School.
Demonstrated ability to be an effective team member/leader and to work well with others.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated competency in use of computer technology.
Essential Duties:
Maintains confidential records, files, and data.
Assists in directing the maintenance and evaluation of the federal programs and comprehensive school improvement schools.
Maintains and submits, upon request, accurate, complete, and correct records as required by federal and state law, district policy and administrative regulations.
Cooperates with other members of the Federal Programs staff and/or comprehensive school improvement schools/staff in planning department improvement goals, objectives, and implementation methods for assigned schools.
Adheres to all federal programs’ guidelines related to serving public and private school students and families.
Supports assigned school personnel in organizing and sustaining a quality School-wide Program or Comprehensive School Improvement plan that complies with local, state, and federal guidelines.
Participates in the review of ACIPs in Cognia, schools’ Mid-year reviews, and disseminate current research on effective comprehensive school improvement, best instructional practices, materials, and professional development models or methods.
Understands general budgets as related to Federal Programs and Comprehensive School Improvement guidelines to support assigned school leaders in developing their Title I and Comprehensive School Improvement budgets.
Handles requests and inquiries from school personnel, title I parents, and Central Office staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Plans and conducts training sessions as needed.
Attend staff development conferences as directed.
Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by the Director of Federal Programs or Chief Academic Officer.
