Property Appraisal Supervisor (Residential)

Montgomery Central Appraisal District is a local governmental subdivision located in Conroe, Texas. The District is responsible for developing an annual appraisal roll, which serves as the basis for determining ad valorem property taxes within the district. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Conroe, TX, for a Property Appraisal Supervisor specializing in residential properties. Key responsibilities include overseeing property appraisal processes, supervising and guiding a team of appraisers, ensuring accurate valuation of residential properties, and maintaining compliance with Texas property laws and regulations. The role also includes coordinating with local taxing units, managing customer inquiries, and participating in budgeting processes. The supervisor will act as a liaison between the public and the appraisal district to ensure transparency and exceptional service.

• Strong Supervisory and Leadership Skills, with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff, taxpayers, and local stakeholders
• Experience in Property Management and an understanding of property appraisal practices and procedures, particularly for residential properties
• Proficiency in Budgeting and financial planning related to property appraisal projects
• Familiarity with Texas property laws and regulations is highly beneficial
• Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Licensure as a Registered Professional Appraiser (RPA) in the state of Texas preferred
