Position:  Assistant Principal / Activities Director (AP/AD)  2026/2027 School Year

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for oversight, supervision and evaluation of the activities program ad coaches and directors. Serve as a member of the building administrative team with all the responsibilities of a team member. Promote good community relations among various community and school clientele.

 

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates activities/athletics
  • Recruits, coordinates and evaluates coaches and sponsors
  • Assists with the disciplinary and attendance procedures
  • Assists with the supervision and evaluation of the teaching staff
  • Oversees the personal property accounting for the building
  • Facilitates community use of the building according to district policy
  • Coordinates all areas of the activity/athletic program including budget, officials, transportation, league meetings, equipment, eligibility of participants, and crowd supervision
  • Organizes special school-wide enrichment activities
  • Participates with the administrative team in developing yearly, monthly, and weekly calendars of events
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

 

Candidate Profile

 

Education and Certification:

·   Master’s Degree (Required)

·   Assistant Principal License for Colorado or verification of entrance  

    into the program(Required) 

Experience and Skills:

·   High level of organization and timeliness
·   Excellent communication skills

·   Experience with activities/athletics, student discipline and staff evaluation
·   Leadership experience in schools
·   Experience developing and leading teacher teams
·   High level of personal organization and planning
·   Technology proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
·   Work efficiently with staff

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Occasional lifting (20-50lbs)
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking

Supervisory Duties:  Supervise professional, paraprofessional, administrative and support staff attached to the school.

Salary : $70,000 - $79,000
