## Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with special education teachers to support students with diverse learning needs.
## Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with disabilities
- Support classroom activities and help maintain a positive learning environment
- Assist in developing and implementing lesson plans
- Help students with personal care needs, if required
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to address student needs
## Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in lesson planning and implementation
- Understanding of Montessori or other alternative educational approaches
