Responsibilities
- Be in agreement with philosophy, mission and overall direction of program
- Must be able to support the director and owner/board in all decisions
- Greet visitors warmly, direct them appropriately, and ensure a positive first impression of the organization
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly and efficiently using professional phone etiquette
- Maintain organized filing systems, handle data entry tasks, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios when staff are absent, on break, or require additional support
- Provide supervision and assist with classroom activities to ensure a safe, structured, and engaging environment for children
- Guide and support staff in following established procedures, ensuring a consistent and compliant work environment
- ·Must be able to relate joyfully and sensitively to children and interact appropriately and professionally that provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment that supports the education and safety of children.
- Oversee office supplies inventory, place orders as needed, and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Experience
- Prior office management or administrative experience in a childcare setting is required
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar), and basic data entry skills
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to support diverse client interactions
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent phone etiquette, proofreading abilities, and customer service skills are critical for success in this role
