About the Role:
Cabrillo Montessori School, an upscale Montessori Preschool nestled in the neighborhoods of Santa Clara right next to Nvidia, is looking for a caring and capable Assistant Head of School to help lead our community.
In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with the Head of School to ensure the daily operations run smoothly while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. Your role will include supporting teachers, maintaining strong family partnerships, managing school logistics, and stepping in wherever needed to keep our community thriving.
We believe that a well-run school is one where leadership is present, engaged, and always willing to support the team whether that means helping with classroom transitions, assisting families, or making sure every detail is taken care of behind the scenes.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the Head of School to create a nurturing and smoothly operating school environment.
- Build strong relationships with families, supporting their journey in our Montessori program.
- Ensure classrooms have what they need, from staffing support to supplies and materials.
- Oversee administrative tasks such as family onboarding, billing, and scheduling.
- Step in as needed whether it’s lending a hand with classroom activities, helping with snack time, or ensuring the laundry gets done.
- Lead by example, fostering a team-oriented culture where everyone feels valued and supported.

Qualifications:
- Experience in a preschool or educational setting (Montessori experience is a plus but not required).
- Willingness to learn and embrace the Montessori philosophy.
- Strong administrative and technology skills (familiarity with school management software is a bonus).
- 12 ECE units or willingness to obtain 12 ECE units
