After School Teacher (Preschool)
The Montessori School of Rochester is seeking staff in our Afterschool Preschool classroom. Qualified candidates will be naturally drawn to supporting children to learn through independent discoveries while maintaining order in the classroom. This position includes caring for children in our after-school program. (30-35 hours per week) with daily hours, Monday to Friday, from 10:30 to 5:30.
Qualifications preferred:
- Experience working with children (3 - 6 years of age), at least 1 year
- Interest in learning more about Montessori education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- We also welcome candidates with experience from childcare-adjacent fields.
Pay is commensurate with experience and training. AMI trained Lead Guides will be considered for additional compensation.

This job requires active participation in caring for children. Must be able to pick up 25 pounds, sit on floor, and be outside daily.
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
