Title: Substitute Nurse

Location: In-person instruction at the MSR or CPA campus
Position Summary: MSR and Carolina Prep are always looking to add flexible substitute Nurses to our on-call list to provide coverage when School Nurses are absent. We are seeking reliable and hard working to support our students in Infant (six weeks) through Grade 12.
Overview: Established in 1974, The Montessori School of Raleigh (MSR) & Carolina Preparatory Academy (Carolina Prep) is a vibrant and exceptional independent Montessori and International Baccalaureate (IB) World School school in the Triangle area serving 400 students aged 15 months through 18 years. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide health office coverage when nurses are absent
Provide on-site emergency and general care to employees and students (ages 6 weeks to 18 years)
Monitor a two-way radio at all times and respond to all transmissions applicable to the health office
Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications to students as needed per policy
Chart care provided/medication administered in Magnus Health system
Communicate illnesses, injuries, care provided, etc.. with parents and faculty/staff
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Auxiliary Programs, Chief Financial & Operations Officer and Head of School

Licensing/Certification Requirements
Must have active North Carolina Registered Nurse license
