Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook/Break Teacher's Aide to join our vibrant educational team. Duties
- Prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals tailored to individual dietary requirements, including special diets for children with disabilities or allergies
- Assist teachers in implementing classroom activities that promote literacy, math, early childhood development, and social skills
- Support classroom management by supervising children during meals, playtime, and learning activities to ensure safety and positive behavior
- Work closely with students, providing mentoring, tutoring, and behavioral support to enhance their educational experience
- Collaborate with staff to develop individualized plans for children with autism or other special needs, ensuring inclusive participation in all activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and classroom spaces in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and specialists about students’ progress, needs, and behavior management strategies
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, preferably in private schools or Montessori environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff
- Familiarity with special education techniques, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in proofreading lesson materials or instructional content
- Classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment
- Prior experience in cooking or meal preparation within an educational setting is preferred but not required
