Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and order in an educational setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and experience in various cleaning and janitorial tasks. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff.
Our campus is 3 acres and we have 7 buildings. The working hours for this position would be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday but may be flexible.
The Montessori School of Columbia (MSC) is looking for a kind, responsible and enthusiastic individual to join our community and care for our classrooms. MSC is off of Rosewood Drive, just minutes from USC and Midlands Tech campus.

Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas in accordance with safety standards
- Operate cleaning equipment and materials safely and efficiently
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
- Adhere to safety protocols during all cleaning services
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a SLED background check
- Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning
- Experience with educational spaces cleaning services is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and walking short distances
- Reliable work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
