Montessori Toddler Assistant Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Montessori Assistant Teacher to join our Toddler room educational team. The ideal candidate will support the Lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for students. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning atmosphere where children can thrive academically and socially. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children and assisting in their daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing classroom ground rules and routine.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly environment.
• Engage with students during lessons, providing guidance and encouragement.
• Help with the preparation of instructional materials and resources.
• Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
• Assist with daily routines, including snack time, outdoor play, and transitions between activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles, particularly in Infant, Toddler, and Primary care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A passion for working with children and fostering their development in a daycare or private school setting.
• Must be patient, compassionate, and able to adapt to the needs of individual students.

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
