The Montessori School of Central Vermont is seeking caring, energetic, and dependable individuals to join our warm and growing school community. We are currently hiring full-time assistants to support young children in our Montessori classrooms.
Whether you have experience in Montessori education or are simply passionate about working with children, we encourage you to apply. We are happy to train the right candidate and provide opportunities to learn Montessori philosophy and classroom practices.
Available Positions
- 1 Full-Time Primary Classroom Assistant (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
- 1 Full-Time Primary Classroom Assistant (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM))
- 1 Full-Time Primary Floater (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

What You'll Do
- Support children throughout the school day
- Help maintain a calm, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Assist lead teachers with classroom routines and preparation
- Supervise indoor and outdoor activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to support children's development and well-being
- Help create a joyful learning experience for every child
Qualifications
- A genuine joy in working with young children is essential
- Experience in childcare, early childhood education, child development, or Montessori education is preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn Montessori methods and participate in professional development
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support children across classroom settings
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint-supported background check
