Montessori Reggio Academy is seeking a qualified and dedicated Lead Montessori Teacher for the upcoming school year. This position is for candidates who are either Montessori Certified or Texas State Certified with experience in Early Childhood Education and/or Lower Elementary.
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children, understands the importance of a prepared classroom environment, and can lead students with patience, professionalism, and care. This role requires someone who is organized, dependable, and committed to supporting each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
The required work schedule is 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a Montessori classroom using developmentally appropriate lessons and materials.
- Prepare and maintain a calm, organized, and engaging classroom environment that supports independence, curiosity, and hands-on learning.
- Plan and implement lessons that support literacy, math, practical life, sensorial learning, cultural studies, social-emotional development, and age-appropriate academic growth.
- Observe and assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust lessons based on each child’s individual needs.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and developmental milestones.
- Support positive classroom management, respectful student behavior, and a safe learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, administration, and leadership to ensure classroom quality and school standards are maintained.
Qualifications
- Must be Montessori Certified or Texas State Certified in Early Childhood Education and/or Lower Elementary.
- Prior classroom teaching experience in a Montessori, private school, preschool, or elementary setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and age-appropriate instruction.
- Ability to create a nurturing, structured, and respectful classroom environment.
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff.
- Must be dependable, professional, organized, and able to work the required schedule of 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Bilingual candidates are a plus.
Experience Preferred
- Montessori classroom experience.
- Early childhood or lower elementary teaching experience.
- Experience with lesson planning, student observations, and parent communication.
- Experience working in a private school or licensed childcare setting.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
