Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Prep. & Dishwasher and be a vital part of delivering exceptional food experiences to our children This role offers the opportunity to work in a peaceful environment where your passion for food and hospitality shine. As a Kitchen Staff member, you will prep the daily snacks and portion out the catered food to be ready to deliver for lunch. You will also be responsible for picking up the dish carts and washing the dishes from each classroom after snack and lunch. You would need to ensure food safety standards are met, and contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen. Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware (bussing) both from food prep and the classrooms.
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Help with food plating and presentation to ensure attractive and consistent dishes
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a positive work environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Ability to stand for extended periods, and lift moderate loads
- A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and supporting team success
- Love for children and willingness to step in as needed.
