What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher Assistant position at Montessori Island School?
This position starts in August/September 2026
-Full-time position- variable hours between Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:15pm (around 36 hours/week)
-Provides support to the Lead Teachers during the work period, enrichment, lunch, and recesses.
-Flexibility to work in multiple classrooms.
-Follows the Montessori Method of Education and follows the Montessori curriculum.
-Helps to maintain a superior learning environment, provide classroom management through positive redirection and positive discipline.
-Supervises recess and helps with light cleaning duties.
-Montessori or childcare experience is preferred, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person.
-Pay depends on experience.
-Childcare is available with a discount on tuition.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
