What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2 year old assistant teacher position at Montessori Early Learning Center?
Responsibilities:
- Spark curiosity and joy through meaningful, play-based learning experiences in our Twos classroom
- Assists lead teacher with developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with Florida Standards
- Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued
- Assist in personalizing teaching approaches to support each child’s unique learning journey
- Observe, document, and celebrate each developmental milestone with care and enthusiasm
- Team up with passionate educators who value connection, growth, and having fun along the way
- Help Care and nurture young children
- Assist Lead teacher with weekly lesson plans
- Provide input into newsletters 1x a month
- Plan learning activities
- Engage and interact with the children throughout the day
- Daily clean and sanitize materials in the classroom including toy bleaching
- Clean and organize classroom on a daily/weekly basis
- Must be able to lift 25-45 pounds
- Job hours: 8:30-5:30 pm (M-F)
Work Experience:
At least 1 years experience
Skills:
Flexible (Occasionally may be asked to sub in different rooms depending upon staffing needs)
Team player with good communication skills
Organized, Dependable and Punctual
Education:
DCF 45 hours desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
