Full Job Description
MCH of Bay City is seeking an assistant teacher who is energetic, nurturing and who loves working with children. Must have experience in the childcare field, with preference of either a CDA or Associate Degree in ECE.
CPR/First Aid/BBP certification is required upon hire, and must also consent to a comprehensive criminal background check.
Assistant teachers are responsible for the care and supervision of preschool and school-aged children 2 yrs. 9 mo. to 12 years of age. Assistant teachers will help to carry out the lesson plans prepared by the lead teacher, as well as help in preparing the environment. All staff will communicate with parents when necessary, work with children on daily works, toilet training, assisting the lead teacher with classroom management, cleaning, and making sure all licensing rules and regulations are followed. Must also complete 24 hrs of training through MiRegistry in a calendar year.
