Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Assistant to support early childhood education in a nurturing classroom environment. This role involves assisting lead teachers with daily classroom activities, implementing curriculum plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Prior experience in early childhood education, daycare, or private school settings is highly valued, especially those familiar with Montessori methods, behavior management, and working with children with disabilities or autism.
Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy education, math, and curriculum development.
- Assist with classroom management to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children aged toddler through preschool age.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional development and early learning skills.
- Help supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to ensure a healthy learning space.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support ongoing development and address individual needs.
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, working with children with autism or disabilities, and classroom management techniques.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, private school, or similar settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education
- Experience working with children with autism or disabilities is a plus.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or toddler care is desirable.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families.
- Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while maintaining a nurturing environment.
- Certification or coursework in childhood development

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
