Teacher's Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Assistant to support the education and Montessori Philosophy in a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to assist in the implementation of curriculum and classroom activities. This role is essential in promoting childhood development within the Montessori classroom.

Duties

• Assist teachers with class preparation of the environment educational activities.
• Provide support to students ensuring they understand the material and mastery of set skills within the curriculum.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate positively and effectively with the classroom teacher, students, and staff.
• Support children in developing social and emotional skills.
• Foster a positive relationship with students to encourage their love for learning.

Experience

• Assist with the supervision of students during snack, lunch, and other activities.
• Prior experience working in a preschool, daycare, or private school setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development and practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Montessori Method is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
• A passion for educating young learners and contributing positively to their development.
• Dependability, Organization, and Flexibility are required.
• Attend monthly staff meetings, field trips, and other related school events as required by the administrator and/or classroom teacher.
• CPR Certification
