Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our students, guiding them through their early developmental stages while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of preschool-aged children.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various areas, including math and literacy skills.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Provide individualized support for children with special education needs as required.
- Organize activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent. AA or BA degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
- Valid Early Childhood Teaching Certificate.
- Valid Montessori Certification.
Work Experience & Professional Skills
- 1-3 years of teaching experience in a Montessori or early childhood classroom is preferred.
- Passion for working with children aged 2-6 years old.
- Strong understanding of Montessori Philosophy, materials, and classroom management.
- Ability to create a prepared learning environment and guide children's individual development.
- Patience, empathy, creativity, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to observe, assess, and document student progress.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in Spanish, or Mandarin, or another second language is a plus.
- Able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and co-teacher.
- A background in private school settings or special education is advantageous but not mandatory.
